Landscape Designer:

WERK I Charles Anderson Landscape Architecture has two full-time 1-3 years experience positions in our downtown Phoenix studio. The positions require innovative and creative thinking to work on a breadth of national and international projects. Candidate will be expected to participate in preparing conceptual and preliminary design drawings, design development and construction documents. Candidates must demonstrate independent judgment, personal organization, excellent communication skills and an ability to make decisions and manage multiple priorities.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years experience
  • Degree in Landscape Architecture
  • Thorough understanding and use of technology for design and construction drawings
  • Exceptional design and/or technical skills
  • Knowledge and expertise in the Adobe Suite, AutoCAD, 3D modeling Software, Sketch-Up
  • Excellent writing abilities
  • Expertise with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

 

Candidate is expected to prepare preliminary design, working drawings, specifications and cost estimates, develop presentation graphics, participate in client meetings and presentations and maintain records, prepare reports and correspondence related to the work.

 

Landscape Architect:

WERK I Charles Anderson Landscape Architecture has a full-time associate landscape architect position in our downtown Phoenix studio www.werk.us. Candidates should have 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience, including overall project management, a proficiency in landscape design/construction documentation as well as strong technical, communication and organizational skills. The position requires innovative and creative thinking to facilitate work on a wide range of local, national and international projects. Candidate will be expected to participate in all aspects of professional landscape architectural practice and be a licensed landscape architect. Candidates must demonstrate independent judgment, personal organization, excellent communication skills and an ability to make decisions and manage multiple priorities.

Requirements:

  • Expertise with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

 

The successful candidate will have professional design and project management experience leading teams through all stages from concept through construction.  Outstanding design skills are especially important for this position.  In addition, this individual will lead a team by exhibiting strength in:

 

  • Design skills from conceptual planning to refined detail and site design
  • Meeting deadlines and budget requirements
  • Construction methodologies to effectively oversee preparation of complete contract documents and permitting.
  • Coordination with several disciplines on various projects
  • Client relationships
  • Development of junior staff
  • Computer Applications (AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite)

 

The successful candidate will work with principals in the office to collaborate on a variety of project types and scales.
