  • The project won an Award of Excelance from the Arizona chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects in 2020. Wellspring Park is “Big Nature”, a collision of nature, infrastructure and architecture. The design intentionally exploits the complimentary power of these elements. Here, iconic indigenous landscapes, constructed gardens, and new buildings form a new perimeter for the park that together, modify the edge condition of drainage basin appearance. The park will be a source of health and wellness which led us to the name Wellspring, which means “an original and bountiful source of something.” Those who visit and use this park will find helpful, hopeful, and inspirational―causing them to return to again and again because it is unlike anything they’ve ever experienced or imagined.
